Surf & Turf Weekend Package

Join Ricochet Ridge Ranch and All Aboard Adventures for a fabulous weekend stay, with horseback riding on deserted beaches and in the magnificent redwoods and a first class whale watching, crabbing or deep sea fishing excursion on Captain Tim's "SeaHawk".

Your weekend stay begins upon your arrival at one of our participating inns. We offer accommodations at several unique B&B's and hotels, and suggest that you visit each of them online to get an idea of their individual amenities and offerings. The Cleone Gardens Inn offers ranch style accommodations in a beautiful setting of six wooded acres. Sun decks, a jacuzzi and lending library add to the appeal. DeHaven Valley Farm is a charming Victorian farmhouse inn on 20 acres next to the ocean, surrounded by miles of beach and mountains, with excellent dining . Decorated with Victorian antiques, the Hill House Inn of Mendocino is an elegant place of lodging which combines modern amenities with history, directly opposite Mendocino Headlands State Park and Big River Beach. Their acclaimed restaurant and cosy, Tiffany enhanced bar add to the charm. Filled with charm and romance, and antiques of a bygone era, the MacCallum House stands at the very heart of the quiet Mendocino village. An easy stroll brings you to untouched beaches, art galleries, live theater, shops, restaurants, and rugged ocean cliffs. Rooms include a complimentary wine hour featuring wines from throughout the California wine country. You may visit all of their websites by linking to them from our website's Mendocino links page.

Start your second day with a full hearty breakfast provided by your inn. Following breakfast, take a short drive to Ricochet Ridge Ranch for a wonderful four hour or all day horseback excursion on deserted coastal beaches and in the magnificent redwood forests. We have horses that are both fit and sensible, safe for all levels of rider, English and Western. Both rides include opportunities for riding through a horse ranch, a cattle ranch, past virgin redwood trees thousands of years old, cresting mountain peaks overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You will also ride on Ten Mile Beach, where osprey and pelicans circle overhead and seals and whales cavort offshore. All Day rides include a picnic lunch under a grove of virgin redwoods, along a river bank, or on the mountain top with views for miles. You won't believe the quality of the horses! After your ride, return to Mendocino, or explore Fort Bragg. Spend the evening relaxing fireside, or soaking in a hot tub.

Your third day begins again with a full hearty breakfast. After breakfast, head to the Noyo Harbor for a fabulous excursion with All Aboard Adventures or Noyo Pacific Outfitters. Choose from whale watching, Crabbing, or Deep Sea Fishing. Details and descriptions of all of these tours can be found below. After your "surf" excursion, spend the afternoon exploring the shops of Fort Bragg, and perhaps taking in a show at the Mendocino Theater Company.

Your last day provides time for a hike, biking along Big River or Ten Mile Haul Road, or perhaps a ride on the Skunk Train. After checking out of your inn, spend a few hours exploring Mendocino, before saying "Farewell" to our magnificent coast.

During the peak of the season, All Aboard Adventures runs two trips a day. July and August are usually the top months in the season, with our anglers catching their limit of two salmon, 24 inches or more per day. The SEA HAWK landed the largest Salmon in the harbor in 2000! It was a gorgeous 45.6 pound King Salmon! Perhaps you'll catch the next record Salmon on your SEA HAWK fishing excursion.
